Help us keep direct-from-farm food easier to find, easier to update, and easier for neighbors to trust.
For farms
Get your farm added
If you sell direct to local shoppers — eggs, produce, meat, dairy, flowers, honey, seedlings, farmstand goods, CSA shares, or seasonal items — reach out and we can help get your listing started.
Farm listings are intended to stay free. Sponsorship is optional and separate from whether a farm can be listed.
About FurrowFinder
What we’re trying to do
FurrowFinder is a practical local farm directory: a place where shoppers can find farms selling direct and farms can keep simple, timely listing information in one place.
We want it to be useful before it is fancy. That means clear farm names, towns, categories, availability, seasonal notes, map pins when appropriate, and links back to farms’ own websites or social pages when they have them.
The goal is not to replace farmers markets, farm pages, or word of mouth. The goal is to make direct-from-farm options easier to discover, especially for people who are new to an area, looking for a specific product, or trying to buy closer to home.
How we operate
Simple rules
- Listings should be honest. Stock, hours, prices, and seasonal availability can change, so shoppers should still confirm before driving.
- Farms stay in control. A farm can claim, update, correct, or ask to remove its listing.
- No paid placement in search. Sponsors can support the project, but sponsor money does not buy ranking over other farms.
- Keep the directory lightweight. The site should stay fast, readable, and useful on a phone.
Funding
How this is funded
FurrowFinder is free for farms and shoppers. Running it costs very little, and those costs are covered by voluntary tips and, when they come along, a few local sponsors. No ads, no paid placement, no selling of data.
Sponsorships
Farm & corporate sponsors
Businesses who help keep this running. Their support pays the bills; it doesn’t buy influence over listings or search order.
Founding sponsor spots are open.
Local farms, food businesses, feed stores, ag services, and aligned companies can be listed here once sponsorships are ready.
